Injuries & Exercise Rehab Articles & Tips
There comes a time when all of us are derailed by an unexpected injury or illness that doesn't allow us to exercise and makes life somewhat miserable. I just found this out the hard way when I suffered a severe toe fracture a few weeks ago which will have me on crutches for four weeks with a total of eight weeks to fully heal. Others that suffer from diseases such as arthritis are fighting a constant battle for most or all of their life. The course of action following an injury or to minimize problems with a lifelong ailment may be the most important part of restoring and maintaining strength and functionality and rebounding quickly and safely. Post Rehabilation Exercise and Therapy is the natural handoff from a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trianer or Physician to a Certified Professional Fitness Trainer or Chiropractor following the initial healing process or any time of physical therapy. We will be sharing knowledge and practical tips on exercise rehabilitation and basic exercises you can use on your own although they are not meant to replace specific advice from your Physician or Physical Therapist. I also look at exercise rehabilitation as a proactive way to add some basic movements to your own exercise program to avoid problems or reduce your risk of injury later if you have an unfortunate accident that puts your body in an uncompromising position.
